Hi. Personal post here but maybe it will encourage some people.
I'm fat. I weigh 94kg and according to my secondary school record book, i'm severely overweight. I've been told to lose weight by doctor after doctor. It's not for me to look good, it's to make life easier for me. I have high-risk of diabetes and high blood pressure. There's history of both in my family. My grandma has hbp, my dad has slight hypertension.

Yesterday, i was reminded by the doctor again, that i have to lose weight or else sooner or later i will get it. The dark patch of skin on the back of my neck is a sign of diabetes. I've also had some symptoms such as blurred vision. I felt defeated. Seriously crushed. I went on my blog just now and typed out a whole long post complaining about everything but by the time i typed the second sentence, i got silenced by this verse.

But the fact is, it was our pains he carried—
our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.
We thought he brought it on himself,
that God was punishing him for his own failures.
But it was our sins that did that to him,
that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins!
He took the punishment, and that made us whole.
Through his bruises we get healed.
We're all like sheep who've wandered off and gotten lost.
We've all done our own thing, gone our own way.
And God has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong,
on him, on him.

Another version says, by HIS stripes, we are healed.
Alot of times, we claim that Jesus is our almighty God. We claim that our God is Jehovah-rapha, our healing God. But do we really believe it? How many times do we actually sit still and completely throw our trust into God's hands?

That's about health and healing. But this verse goes even deeper. Sin. Everybody struggles, everybody has their temptations. But what power does temptation have over us? He bore our sins, He took the blame, He carried the cross, He felt the sting of the whip. All so that we didn't have to. All because He knew, we are too fragile to experience it. And all because He loves us.

Jesus,
come sickness or pain, i want to be used by You.

No point just singing songs to God because He deserves so much more. we need to LIVE OUT OUR FAITH. we dont talk about love, we show that we love. God LOVE us and He gave His Son to die for us (see the action?). what are we gonna do to show that we LOVE God. action speaks louder than words. Song can spur us on, that's because Holy spirit minister to us through the song. so apart from singing, what are YOU gonna do to profess your love to Him?

This song is now my prayer. its not just another random nice worship song. i wanna challenge all of you to begin to LIVE OUT YOUR FAITH, LIVE OUT YOUR LOVE. dont be contented with the little things you have. begin to seek and ask for more.

I firmly believe His promises endure forever. heaven and earth will fade away but His words remain. cool right? :D

Was doing QT (Old Testament FTW!) and this verse jumped out at me. Alot of times we fear things we do not know and we get anxious and we worry. We fill our lives with "what if?"s. "What if i don't get good results?". "What if people all laugh at me?" "What if the sky falls down? *cue song: down by jay sean feat lil'wayne*. In this verse, Moses says to the Israelites who were running away from the Egyptians: "Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD that he will provide for you today;". Isn't it the same thing that God reminds us? Do not fear! but see as God provides us what we need today. Look in awe as the Holy Spirit meets our needs. Watch as God fills the vacuums in our hearts.

Verse 14 says "The LORD will fight for you, and you can be still." Whoah! I don't know about you but if i know that God is fighting for me, i think the enemy gone case liao lol.

He fights the fight for us, so what can we do for Him?

something I wanna share from tuesday prayer meeting.

Isaiah 40:27-31

27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
and complain, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the LORD;
my cause is disregarded by my God”?

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who wait on the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,

SO.... well, God hasn't repsonded instantaneously.
WHY?
verse 28, it says that NO ONE can fathom.
well, surely we were made in His image, our level understanding is also lower than His, and He can see the future, which we can't.

read on verse 29 &30

and coming to verse 31... those who wait on the LORD.
wow, wait.
this world is such a fast-paced world.
but our God remains the same, He wants you to wait for His reasons.
Lets picture this,
remember the days (if you have) when you go on a date, and wait for you love one, and he/she is late for 2 hours and still, you'll continue to wait, and when he/she arrives, you'll look at him/her and still say that they are cute.
if we can love earthly beings this much, why can't we be much more in love with God?
surely a test of endurance = prove of love.
and so, just wait la.
but.. in the midst of waiting, some of us get discouraged, some give up.

caution: Most of the time we get so bored of waiting, then we will run away. But by running away, we will just fall into the valley and then, we won’t ever get to see what God’s going to do

best is not to talk. be silent, why?
cause simply sooner or later, we'll speak words of discouragement.. and GG.

This verse always lifts my spirit. Whenever i'm feeling down or empty, i always go back to this verse. Jesus came to give us life to the fullest man, why shouldn't we live it? He says that we will have so much life that it overflows! How awesome is that?

This is what Paul said before he died. he said that he had fought the good fight, and has kept his faith throughout without quitting on what God has install for him. Thats what i want to say before i die, how about you? Im sure you all want that as well right. So lets run this good race, not alone, but as zealot one. so that when we finish the race we can all say, we have won the good fight and kept the faith! so dont give up people!

WHEN TRUTH COLLIDES - PART ONE

You're unique when you're in God.
What you believe will affect your decision and you decision will affect the outcome.

If re-deciding doesnt involve re-believing, re-thinking and renovating your belief system, you can make decision after decision and change after chane and end up with the same outcome.

New life is the resulf of new decision and new decision is a result of new thinking.

Romans 12:2-3
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Renovation can be messy and time consuming, yet it will end up spectacular.
Renovation = take out the old and put in something new.

You'll change the way you think once God's way make sense to you. we need to look through God's lenses. If we look through yellow shades our world will be yellow. Same logic.

God wants to transform your world. In order to change the outcome, we need to change our decisions (based on the right belief system). START THINKING THE WAY GOD THINK.

Think: What are some of the deeply felt beliefs which have led you to where you are today?

some more stuff about the two girls who are coming. remember they are outcasts? so please befriend them (especially the girls). the main reasons why they are outcasts are mainly cos of their quiet nature and also because of their appearances. and i believe God does not choose personalities when He wants to save people. so let's have the same attitude towards them ok =) both of the girls are the emo emo type.. i know most about why xiaoting is like that, if you want to know, sms me so that we can pray together or something =)

HOLA my brothers and sisters in Christ =D you see, this saturday i'm bringing 2 of my friends. One girl one guy luh. both are my classmates.

the guy uh.. very very guai de. those bbss my batch will know. he may not be joining us permanently but i want you guys to talk to him luh. cos he's one of the outcasts in my class. and he's a Christian.

then the girl uh.. another outcast. fyi i hang out with outcasts one. my passion ma. anyways yeah so i want you all to really talk to her. but she got one problem: she may not be coming cos might have cca. her cca starts in the afternoon (like 12+) and ends very late (6 or 7pm).

so what's the point in me telling you all this? well i have one prayer request: pray for both of them luh. pray for them so that there's no last minute cancellation or whatever. satan is always there to attack when one soul is gonna be saved. and pray for the service so that it will leave an impact on both of them, esp the girl luh. then for her heart to be softened also =) she's kinda interested so i grabbed the chance to share a bit and asked her luh. then she at first accepted her friend's invitation to city harvest but too far.

anyways.. the boy's name is zhengyang, the girl's name is xiaoting. thanks guys =D

Testimony of an ex-Yoga teacher

Just want to share with you this testimony of an Ex-Yoga Teacher, which confirms that Yoga really glorifies "that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray" (Rev 12:9).

For this reason, the Christian should not allow his body (the temple of the Holy Spirit) to be engaged in any "pose" that expresses worship to Satan

HI friends,
On Wednesday, I attended a talk by an ex-yoga teacher, Mdm PohShon Choy, who sold her yoga centre (earning lots of money giving yoga lessons) and severed all ties with yoga.
She urges us to inform relatives, friends, Family members, etc., NOT to get involved at all.
For those who had taken up yoga lessons (hot yoga, power yoga, pilates, so on), repent and
ask God for forgiveness. Many claimed that they only join to keep fit, only doing the exercise poses and not meditation.

Christians think it is ok so long they don't participate in the Meditation part. Mdm Choy explains that the central of Yoga (originated from Hinduism) is the spirit of Kundalini (spirit Of snake or
cobra).Yoga poses are actually animal poses (e.g. camel, rabbit,). All these look very normal and
harmless, stretching and exercising. But the danger is, once a person does such poses, the spirit of Kundalini (the snake is in a coiled position) is stimulated or aroused.

As the persons goes from basic to intermediate to advance stage of yoga lessons (still not meditation yet), the coiled "snake" will be aroused further. It will rise and rise further
There are 7 centres in the human body - Starting from the navel. The final centre is the part between the eye brows (known to many as the third eye). When the spirit is aroused to the final centre, the third eye will be opened.

This is called the full enlightenment. The first thing the person sees is demons. For some, they will become insane seeing such horrifying demons. For others, they are not afraid and will have the power to fore-tell other people's health, problems, luck, etc (like a fortune teller). In fact, they manipulate and control other people.

The meditation part will come in very subtle. Mdm Choy said she was approached by a couple who found her contact from the yellow pages and told her they wanted To teach her new things about yoga. She was very keen and sat under their teaching. She learnt how to meditate and it must be done in odd hours of the day (past midnight). So she tried.. She actually felt a wriggling feeling in her stomach!

She also mentioned that her third eye was opened. She could see her own aura (electric fields in all human beings). Her turning point came when God caused her spiritual eyes to open - she witnessed a lady being delivered, wriggling like a snake on the floor.

Mdm Choy thanked God for being gracious to her; she took 1-2 weeks to be delivered. She knows of a lady who took 3 months to be cleansed!! It is a sad thing; there is even yoga lessons for children. In the States, a Methodist started the Christian yoga. However, there are some believers who still continue, saying that they find no harm after doing yoga for 3 years.

Mdm Choy says it is our soul that is in danger. The evil one will try all ways to ensnare/trap Christians.

Someone in the class raised a question - if we have The Holy Spirit, how can the spirit of kundalini be aroused?

Mdm Choy replied our God is a holy God, the Holy Spirit will be grieved and will depart. God cannot be mocked. God's spirit left King Saul when he disobeyed God. To God, rebellion spirit is witchcraft. We are not against yoga teachers, yoga students but we are fighting against powers,
principalities in the Spiritual realm. Let's be on guard, be aware!

3 componets missing in our prayer life (3As)
#1. Audacity [daring]
Our prayers must be big enough to involve God. It must be so big that only God can answer. We want the people around us to say "BUT THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! ONLY GOD CAN DO IT!"

Fact: If the prayer is according to His will, He will answer
If the prayer is NOT according to His will, He will NOT answer.

Joshua 5:14
Our God is the God of the IMPOSSIBLES!

Hebrews 4:16
WHen its according to the will of God, nothing till be too big. SO... ASK AUDACIOUSLY

#2. Accuracy [specific]
Specific prayers make powerful prayers
The sun and moon stood still and Joshua cried out (AMAZING!)

Trust me, you cant run away from God

People like to talk about SMART goals.
Specific
Measurable
Achievable

BBBUUUTTTTTT.... our goals should be SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE and IMPOSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE (impossible on man's own strength but possible because of God)

#3. Action
Prayers should be great and important enough for you to fight for.
If you dont move, God wont move - simple as that

"Faith without actions is dead"
Prayers without action = no faith!
--> If you want a miracle, God want to see action

We have to do the natural before God can add in the super into your natural

Whats the point of asking God for help when you dont change your lifestyle
Example, a fat guy wants to lose weight yet he's eating buffet dayand night. like that how to lose weight?!?!

We need to be ready to march all day long
Joshua had tactic and technique. They are involved. They need help and they had action.
Your situation will only turn around when you get into motion
--> God confirm will take more action and you [God aim hailstones at the enemy and wiped out more people than Joshua and his men could kill]
